What is Kore Science?

1 Kore Science is all about getting you to Train Smarter and Get Results. We measure your body type and determine your metabolic rate or VO2max using the KORR metabolic testing system with TRUE TARGET ZONE’S. VO2 testing reveals the exercise level that will optimize a person’s ability to burn fat. In the past, Fitness professionals have had to rely on crude estimates to determine what level of exercise intensity would be aerobic or fat burning. With RedKore, we eliminate the guess work and pinpoint the optimal zone for your fitness level and body type so you Train Smarter and Get Results!

2Metrics we use to measure your body include body fat mass, body weight, and lean body mass using a clinical body composition analyzer. Body fat mass provides a better indicator of your physical condition than strictly looking at your body mass index. Lean body mass is the weight of a person’s body that isn’t fat including muscle as well as bones and other nonfat tissue. A change in your lean body mass can dramatically affect your appearance, even if your total body weight doesn’t change.

After measuring your body type and assessing your anaerobic threshold, we begin putting together a KORE Plan to guide your exercise and map out your process to acheive your fitness goals!

3Systolic and Diastolic blood pressure using the latest diagnostic equipment. High blood pressure is a strong indicator of stroke and heart disease risk, and a sign of chronic stress levels. It’s often seen as the silent killer because it causes damage without any obvious symptoms. Losing weight and making changes for a healthier lifestyle can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease.

4Basal metabolic rate and your resting heart rate. Resting heart rate will decrease as the participant’s heart becomes larger and stronger with training. A low resting heart rate is an indicator of fitness. Basal metabolic rate, and the closely related resting metabolic rate is the rate of energy expenditure by humans. Increasing the basal metabolic rate through our RedKore classes will help increase fat loss and build lean muscle mass.

Using these 4 analyses, we determine your baseline KORE Score. After determining your baseline, our trainers will use the KORE Score to measure your progress as your journey down the path to achieve your fitness goals.

HEART RATE MONITORED WORKOUTS

RedKore Fitness leverages science in our workouts to improve your performance and get results quicker. Our heart rate monitors are state-of-the-art with a Heart Rate Measurement error < 1%. They are battery operated and function using ANT+ / Bluetooth 4.0 technology. We use these monitors to easily track your heart rate data during indoor or outdoor activities. (most places only do indoor exercises)
Metrics captured include beats per minute, calories burned, the heart rate percentage (AT), intensity zones, and Fitness Points earned based on your fitness goals. During class, these metrics all appear onscreen in the context of others in the class. Our Heart Rate Monitoring system provides constant visual feedback, which allows members to push themselves or ease off accordingly to achieve personal goals. Using your fitness goals, we define the optimal zone and as you exercise, we can monitor whether you stayed in or strayed out of your zone. At the end of every class, we email you a personalized report that shows your performance and how well you met your fitness goals over the 60-minute period. This gives us the feedback to adjust your workout, thusly Training Smarter to Getting Results!
